What is Smite?

Smite is a free-to-play third-person version of DotA(Defense of the Ancients).

You can play following gamemodes:

"Conquest"

Aim is to fight your way through the enemy teams lanes and destroy their Minotaur. To Achive this, you gotta kill the Enemy gods(players),their minions and their towers. In your base is a shop, where you can buy new stuff for your god, while leveling it up, becoming stronger and stronger.

"Domination":
Capture as many marks as possible. the team more than 50% of all marks makes the other team lose points. When the points hit 0 a team lost.

"Arena"
A small arena, the team who "killed" all enemy points first won.


Character Selection:

Befor a game starts every player has to choose a god. They will be the character you are moving over the map with, like Zeus, Poseidon, Isis, etc. Each god has (more or less) unique abilities. Every week there are a couple of gods playable for free. If you want to unlock a god permanently you gotta buy it for real money or ingame money, which you get for playing games against real players.


"Jungle":

Between the lanes, or at the side of the arena are some neutral creeps. if you kill them you get exp, money and some even buff your character for a limited time, like giving you additional manareggn, dmg increase, movementspeed increase, etc.
